IS ABIA STILL GOD'S OWN STATE OR HAS IT BEEN SOLD TO THE DEVIL? - By Dunstan Ukaga

I was growing up when the name"ABIA, GOD'S OWN STATE'' was coined. Since Abia was carved out from Imo state, the state started with a neo found spirit of development. We stopped listening to IBC and switched on to Abia broadcasting service.

It was fun to listen to ABS as the presenters mentioned"Abia, God's own state'' and each showed logically why and how Abia state even from the bible was God's own state. I said WAS because nowadays, no one seems to tag Abia state God's own state even from the biblical point of view.

Ndi Abia state, gini n'eme n'Abia state?

I loved and envied Abia state. Orji Uzor Kalu came and all of us were hysterical about Abia state. The young man was filled with energy to develop this God' own state. Theodore Orji took over, everyone thought Abia would be an industrial impetus for all Igbos to leverage on.

Brothers and sisters, has Abia state been sold to the devil? I do not seem to see again the good spirit that followed Abia state newly when she was created.

Is Abia still GOD'S OWN STATE or DEVIL'S OWN STATE?
